    Text 'Honolulu, Oahu, June 20th, 1894: I, AMELIA DE JESUS, being duly sworn on oath deposes and say that I was married to Antonio Cockley (sic) on the 2nd day of May, 1885, that at the time of my marriage I was 14 years of age and my husband was 54 years of age and was not then a strong, healthy man. We lived together ten months and then separated and about two months thereafter, he, my said husband, left this country for foreign parts; that since his departure I have made diligent inquries of his whereabouts and have never heard anything about him. My said husband has been absent from this country for more than eight years and I believe that he is dead. [signed] Amelia Jesus. Subscribed and sworn to before me this 20th day of June, 1894.
