Theodore "Ted" Gomes, 83, of Papa, South Kona, died March 11. Born in Keopu, Kona, he was owner of Honomalino Wood Mill, a former salesman and office manager for The Gas Company in Kona, spear fisherman, farmer, short stories writer and joke teller. Private service at a later date. Survived by wife, Gwendolyn Gomes of Papa; son, Theodore (Caryn) Gomes of North Dakota; daughters, Maile Gomes Good of Oklahoma, Luana (Alika) Lincoln of Waimea and Moana (Mel) Johansen of Papa; sister Thomasina Fogliani of San Carlos, Calif.; brothers, Joseph Henry (Linda) Gomes of Belmont, Calif., and Robert (Phoebe) Gomes of Pahala; eight grandwhildren and 11 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and extended family. Arrangements by Cremation Services of West Hawaii. |
