Valentine Gomes, 92, of Kihei, Maui, passed away on January 17, 2014, at Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was born on May 12, 1921, in Paia, Hawaii. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2014, at St. Theresa Catholic Church; mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. Valentine was a retired Planning Mill Mechanic and Mill Operator at A&B. He was a member of American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), and Maui Cooperative Fishing Association. His passion was fishing. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor X. Gomes; sons, James "Kimo" (Roswitha) Gomes, Keith Arnold Gomes (deceased); and sister, Rita Pavao. |
