Oct. 1, 2014. John Silva, 95, of Kalihi, a retired plumber for the Department of the Navy, died in Mililani. He was born in Holualoa, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Isabel S.; sons John A., Frank J., Thomas E. and Henry P.; daughters Sandra S. Chang, Ann P. Piamonte and Jean T. Henson; brother Frank; sisters Jennie Jerusalem and Carrie Nobriga; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Valley of the Temples chapel.
