    Text Marvin Franklin Bost. SALISBURY - Marvin Franklin Bost, 81, a resident of Salisbury Gardens, formerly of Mooresville Road, died Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at Rowan Regional Medical Center after a period of declining health. Born Sept. 20, 1927, in Rowan County, he was a son of the late George E. and Lina Simmons Bost. A retired self-employed brick mason, he was previously employed with Heath & Sons Contractors for 30 years. Marvin was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and Atlanta Braves baseball. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Amelia "Amy" Silva Bost on March 17, 2007; four brothers; and three sisters. Those left to cherish his memory are sons Ronald Bost and wife Martha of Salisbury, Donald Bost and wife Pat of Salisbury; daughter Carole Crater and husband Danny of Statesville; brothers Ray Bost and wife Velma of Mount Ulla, Homer Bost and wife Gertrude of Salisbury, Curtis Bost and wife Virginia of Salisbury; sister Lois Burris of Faith; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home, China Grove, and at other times, at the home of son Ronald Bost, 2707 Mooresville Road, Salisbury, NC 28147. Service: 11 a.m. Friday in funeral home chapel conducted by Rev. Chris Townsend. Interment will follow at Rowan Memorial Park. Memorials: Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Building Fund, 128 N. Fulton St., Salisbury, NC 28144. Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home, China Grove, is serving the family in making arrangements
